Warranty

Warranty Coverage

AdaptaPlay warrants that the covered product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase, as shown on the original receipt.

This Limited Warranty applies only to hardware components and does not apply to software, downloadable content, or consumable items.

What Is Covered

This warranty covers:

  • Manufacturer-related defects in materials or workmanship
  • Failure of internal electronic components under normal use
  • Functional failure not caused by external damage

What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage
  • Liquid damage
  • Physical abuse or misuse
  • Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, discoloration)
  • Damage caused by power surges or improper voltage
  • Unauthorized repair or modification
  • Broken warranty seals
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Loss of data or software issues
  • Damage caused by third-party accessories

Any product showing signs of tampering, modification, or improper use will void this warranty.

Remedy

If a defect covered by this warranty arises within the warranty period, AdaptaPlay, at its sole discretion, will:

  • Repair the product, or
  • Replace the product with the same or comparable model, or
  • Provide store credit equal to the original purchase price.
  • Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued only at our discretion.
  • Replacement products may be refurbished.

Warranty Conditions

To obtain warranty service:

You must provide the original purchase receipt.

  • The product must be returned to AdaptaPlay.
  • The product must not be disassembled or altered.
  • If present, serial numbers must be intact and match sales records.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Your statutory rights in the European Union

This Limited Warranty is a voluntary commercial guarantee. It is given on top of the rights the law already gives you as a consumer, and it does not limit or replace them. Where the law gives you more than this warranty does, the law applies.

If you bought as a consumer in the European Union, the seller is liable by law for a lack of conformity that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within two years. In Hungary these rights are:

  • Kellékszavatosság (warranty of conformity). For two years from delivery you can ask for repair or replacement. If that is impossible or disproportionate, you can ask for a price reduction or withdraw from the contract. In the first year you do not have to prove that the defect was already there at delivery.
  • Termékszavatosság (product warranty). For two years from the date the product was placed on the market you can ask the manufacturer directly to repair or replace a defective product.
  • Jótállás (mandatory guarantee). Government Decree 373/2021 (XII. 25.) sets a mandatory guarantee period for listed consumer durables sold in Hungary above 10,000 HUF. The length depends on the purchase price.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty affects any of these rights, and nothing in it requires you to use this warranty instead of them. To make a statutory claim, or a claim under this warranty, write to us at the address on our contact page.

Limitation of Implied Warranties

To the extent permitted by law, any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the two-year term of this Limited Warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

AdaptaPlay shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of use, or lost profits, arising from the use of this product.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

United States: state law rights

If you bought in the United States, this warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
